Where do the bees go after the removal?

When we perform live bee rescue, the bees are relocated to our apiary in Homestead. Typically, they are moved to beehives or bee boxes. This allows the bees to continue their natural behavior, including pollinating plants and producing honey, in an environment where they won’t pose a threat to people or property.

What is live bee removal?

Live bee removal is a process of removing honeybees in a safe and humane manner without the use of harsh chemicals and pesticides. By choosing live bee removal over a regular exterminator, you are ensuring that the bees will be protected and removed alive from your property. After removal, the bees are rehomed in an apiary so they can continue to pollinate our crops.

What happens to the bees after they are removed?

At Florida Bee rescue and Removal, we only use safe and humane bee removal practices. We do not use chemicals or pesticides that are harmful to honeybees. After a bee removal service, we transport the bees alive to a local Miami apiary where the honeybees are cared for by an experienced beekeeper. Here, the bees can continue to thrive, pollinate and contribute to our local ecosystem.

Will the bees come back?

If your bee removal is handled by an inexperienced company or if you attempt to do it on your own, there is a good chance that bees will return. Why? Bees are attracted to the pheromones left behind in honeycomb. An expert bee removal company will be sure to remove all of the honeycomb, honey and other remnants of the bees so you won’t have to worry about bees coming back to rebuild in your home.
